Bat Speed Program


1. 5-7 swings with overload bat at the top of strike zone


2. 5-7 swings with underload bat at the top of the strike zone


3. 5-7 swings with overload bat at the bottom of the strike zone


4. 5-7 swings with underload bat at the bottom of the strike zone


5. 5-7 swings with overload bat at the top of the strike zone


6. 5-7 swings with game bat at the top of the strike zone



  • Bring bat slowly back through the zone to set position after the swing to improve muscle memory
  • Repeat by swinging opposite handed (Right handed if lefty, left handed if righty)
  • For best results, do routine 2 times a week for 8 weeks

Youth Bat Speed Program


1. 5-7 swings with overload bat at the top of the strike zone


2. 5-7 swings with underload bat at the top of the strike zone


3. 5-7 swings with overload bat at the bottom of the strike zone


4. 5-7 swings with game bat at the top of the strike zone
